Review on πŸ”Œ Ford DS7Z-9E926-D ECU Computer Module by Juan Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits 2012 Fusion 2.5L L4

The car was rolling 79 km and I had just left home and was driving onto the main road, speeding up when I heard/felt a bang, whereupon I almost lost them all engine power. Automobile. My first thought was that the battery had exploded. or broken belt/pulley. I mean this car is on the 3rd battery, on the 2nd alternator and obviously needs a new pulley/belt. But it stalled when I stopped and had a shuddering motor on the first two restarts. I let it sit for a minute, looked under the hood, restarted it, it worked well enough, but I drove it half a mile home, connected to the internet and found that the throttle body was the likeliest culprit. I ordered it and drove the car and waited. On delivery, as many say, it is possible to drive, but be aware that this can happen again. But then I noticed that the car had an odd, sticky throttle that required a light pedal push to make it respond to changes in rpm. I was nervous for two days riding it. And when I got the throttle body, removing the damn air cleaner tube was more of a hassle than installing the part itself. In general, taking it somewhere to fix would be more work than replacing it yourself. The throttle body is more responsive after the replacement and I hope this is a refurbished part and will not be as prone to failure in the future.
