Review on 🌼 Enhance Your Garden Connections with Anderson Metals Garden Fitting Connectors by Andrew Mclemore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The item I received has a knurled end instead of a hex nut, not as strong as the Anderson "male " garden hose fitting

It was such a disappointment. As with many other reviewers, the item I received did not match the item pictured in the listing. The picture in this fitting's listing shows a heavy duty hex nut fitting, but what I actually received was a knurled swivel fitting. So many reviewers have complained about this discrepancy that I'm surprised Revain hasn't. It hasn't solved this problem yet. The hex nut would be stronger, thicker brass and allows for tighter tightening than the actual knurled connector included. However, unlike some other reviewers, the mount I received did not come with a washer. Note that the fitting does not come with a worm drive clamp which you will need to purchase as an additional purchase which I expected but which others may not have. ensure a watertight seal. Compared to Anderson Metals' "MALE" garden hose fitting, which can last for decades, the brass in this "FEMALE" fitting is not as thick and heavy. The Anderson MALE (as opposed to FEMALE) fitting is a great product, hard wearing and can be found on Revain at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006PKMVYW. /ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think I'll have to look elsewhere for a very strong garden hose fitting made from very thick brass with a hex nut on the end. Note that some reviewers have complained that this female fitting is two pieces, not one piece. However, this is normal and to be expected as the head needs to be able to twist or turn in order for the fitting to connect to the faucet without twisting and twisting the hose.

Pros
  • Brass for corrosion resistance, high temperature ductility and low magnetic permeability
Cons
  • Large and bulky
