Adapter for connecting hose or fittings of different types. Connects to hose on one end and a male GHT threaded connection on the other. Brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

Best used with hose made of rubber or other easily deformable material

Never throw away what can be easily repaired. I've repaired more tubing than I can count by simply cutting off and adding new ends. I hate plastic, especially quick releases which ALWAYS leak. Give me a good brass fitting with rubber NOT plastic, washer, some teflon tape and I have a refurbished hose, albeit a little shorter. Just make sure the connector diameter matches the inner diameter of the hose. Note. I find they work best with a rubber hose, or at least a hose made out of someโ€ฆ

Here is some info on PE fittings

After trying some new compression fittings to attach my 0.62" OD and found they were leaking ( the old ones worked fine!), I decided to go the other route with this 1/2" stud brass female fitting. Due to size and material differences, you will need two additional items to stop the leak: a 5/8" "Hose clamp and an e6000 hose. Install everything dry so you know it will work. The .62" OD hose slides over the tip, but tightening the clamp is not enough as the hose is stiffer than a Rubber hose isโ€ฆ

The item I received has a knurled end instead of a hex nut, not as strong as the Anderson "male " garden hose fitting

It was such a disappointment. As with many other reviewers, the item I received did not match the item pictured in the listing. The picture in this fitting's listing shows a heavy duty hex nut fitting, but what I actually received was a knurled swivel fitting. So many reviewers have complained about this discrepancy that I'm surprised Revain hasn't. It hasn't solved this problem yet. The hex nut would be stronger, thicker brass and allows for tighter tightening than the actual knurled connector
