I bought this kit to repair a threaded hole in a Jeep Wrangler frame. I installed a winch plate and had to pull out the threaded bolts to attach the bracket. As it turned out, one side refused to cooperate. I had to go to the store to loosen the screw. This removed the threads, causing the bolt to break off. I bought this kit, pulled out the drill bit and started drilling with my handy Craftsman 18v cordless drill/driver. (Easy job I know) It didn't even make a dent. Well, maybe a dimple, but that was it. After a few hours of frustration, I went to Laws and bought a set of Ryobi bits with the right size bits (quite an odd size, btw). With the right drill, my drill wasn't strong enough. So I started with smaller bit sizes and gradually increased them. It worked. Rigid frames on these jeeps. After I solved the hole dilemma, everything worked as advertised. I was very happy with the rest of the operation including threading the hole and adding filler. He did a great job and was able to install the brackets with a new screw to finish the job. I would recommend this kit to save you a ton of money compared to going through a mechanic. Just make sure you have a spare drill that is the right size. Although I was disappointed with the drill I now have a great set of drills for future use.
