Review on MICTUNING Heavy Inline Trailer Junction by Danny Kamerer

I have had intermittent problems connecting to the existing 7 way connector in my 1 year old caravan. I bought this replacement on the recommendation of a friend. This unit is very well constructed and really helped clean up the cable mess my trailer builder was causing. The unit is well packaged and has several standoffs to allow cables to be routed in a fairly airtight environment. There was a very small manufacturing defect which I found and fixed. The blue wire had protruding strands protruding from the crimped connection. This could cause a short in the brake line if the strands make contact with another conductor or ground. Below I paste a photo of loose strands. The wiring on my trailer and on this product matched perfectly. Brown to brown, red to red, etc. No decoder ring required. The mounting tabs are plastic but are very strong and should last for years. It took me about two hours to install, clean the wires, crimp and shrink new connections. After completion I did a light and brake test and everything worked great on the first try. I would recommend this product to anyone trying to replace the cable connector and OEM box.
