We bought this to control the temperature in different parts of our trailer in winter. We attached the main body to the wall when you enter the trailer. Three sensors went: one to our bedroom, one to the outdoor shower to monitor the outside temperature, and the last to the "basement," a large storage room accessed through two side doors of the trailer. I didn't want it to freeze in winter. Each of the sensors were no more than 15 feet from the main unit so I can't comment on reliability from afar, but up close they were great. It was nice to keep an eye on the outside and basement in one block. It also let us know that the bedroom was always 2-3 degrees colder than the main living room. It also has a light so we can check the temperature at night to see if we need more heat. Easy to read, accurate and works well in cold weather. The lowest temperature recorded was 20F.
