Review on 📶 NETGEAR N300 Wi-Fi to Ethernet Adapter by Austin Hearshman

This device gets 5 stars from me for the four months it has actually worked. Setup was very easy and it provided a great signal. I used it in my DVR security system so reliability is paramount. Then suddenly I couldn't access my cameras anymore. When I checked, the power indicator on this unit was blinking. After scouring the web, I found that a blinking power light is practically a death sentence for this device, meaning the firmware is corrupted (by itself). The real test is that it doesn't respond to pressing the reset button. So the next step is to call support. If you are using a rechargeable battery, make sure it is fully charged. It took 1 hour and 55 minutes of my time. It doesn't matter that I've already spent a lot of time on the internet and gone through many troubleshooting steps, I have to do it again and again, but I still obey. I ended up having to give someone in India access to my computer to install one of their programs on it to flash and fix this thing. They then informed me that this repair was free, but for $129 I could sign up for a year of support - for a $50 device! So now I'm taking a risk with this device, knowing that if it ever stops again, I might as well buy another device. Oh yeah, I gotta hope he doesn't stop if someone decides to hack him!
