I LOVE this ice razor! It's easy to use and literally turns large ice cubes into snow. The machine is heavy and very durable. I bought a model with two blades. I bought an ice pack from a local store and these two blades instantly turn these giant cubes into snow. Caution: The motor will turn on automatically when you lower the lid, so make sure the lid is open (up) when you plug it in and turn on the power. Also, dry the machine with a paper towel or washcloth after use to prevent rust and the growth of potential bacteria inside. I don't use the round metal bowl that came with the machine. It seemed like too many steps to fill the round bowl with snow and then shovel the snow into the bowl, which is a problem without a dedicated shovel. Instead, I placed a 16-ounce plastic Solo cup against the snow exit hole and it fills the cup with snow in one go. Also, the space where you load the ice cubes is large enough to hold a full Solo mug of ice. , and this quantity fills the bowl with snow to the brim. So a 16 ounce cup of ice is equivalent to 16 ounces of snow. Now that summer is in full swing I use this car every day. I'm excited to get home from work and make my favorite blue raspberry snow cone.
