The power cord was too short to put the speaker where I need it. OK, I'll find out. Then it turned out that the speaker cable that came with it was too short for the spot I needed a second speaker. Okay, I had an extra cable. Put everything together and I'll connect to the main speaker with no issues. Pretty good sound, about what I expected. I go to connect the second speaker and... there is no sound. Just stop playing and turn off your phone. Failed to reconnect. As soon as I unplug the speaker cable from the back of the main speaker, the speaker turns on and reconnects to Bluetooth. Plugged the cable back in, turned it off. Rinse and repeat. Go to the Pyles website to contact support and all they kept telling me to fix the problem was to connect the speaker wire to the second speaker. So he obviously had no idea what I was talking about and was useless to solve my problem. So for now I have a decent speaker and a paperweight. There aren't any instructions in the box either (not that they're really needed, but) Update: if you plug a passive speaker into an active speaker while a song is playing, they work... until the song changes, then shines the speaker to turn off as I unplug the passive speaker wires, and then I hear it turn back on. Update 2: I bought another pair because I really want them to work. Same problem. Disconnected when the speaker wire is connected to the passive speaker and reconnected when the wire is disconnected.
