I bought this 3 months ago to attach my backpack to my bike when I go to work. The bungee mesh is more than large enough to cover my pack (which is no bigger than a full face helmet) and no part of the product has ever been stressed more than a lightweight one. I chose the plastic clip version because I wanted to avoid scratching the metal or tearing the fabric. The bungee mesh part works well and stretches a bit, but within a month of purchase one of the plastic clips just broke in half and was no longer usable. Now, about 3 months after the purchase, two more plastic clips have broken. I have three clips left to hold what's underneath. If another clip breaks, the mesh is unusable. I haven't tried the metal clip version. Heavy Duty 15" Cargo Net for Motorcycles, ATVs - Stretches to 30" (Black) but I have to think the clips would be much stronger. I would not recommend purchasing this product unless you have one of these spare cargo net clips left over since your last purchase.
