Review on 🌍 Ceptics Type D Travel Adapter Plug with 3 Outlets for India and Africa: An Ideal Solution for International Travel by Rey Hossain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It worked great for iPhone and iPad.

I bought this to keep my devices charged in Switzerland. It worked well on iPhone and iPad with a 2-pin power adapter that you then plug into a Lightning USB cable, and on my Kindle. However, when I tried to plug in my Macbook's power adapter, the Mac wouldn't charge - instead of a solid green light to indicate it was charging, or amber to indicate it was charging, it showed a blinking green light. When I got home I took everything to the Apple Genius bar and it turned out that the power supply needed to be replaced - luckily under warranty. I can't be sure if the power was out because of the adapter, but I noticed that the hot and neutral wires on the travel adapter are mixed up with the standard 3-pin North American plug. This is not a problem for many electronic devices. Again, I can't be sure if the unit had anything to do with my power outage, in fact the Genus Bar technician said I should use a UPS as it is sensitive to overloads and power fluctuations. So I don't blame the travel adapter. But I'm worried about the hot/neutral swap.

Pros
  • Schuko plug with 3 round pins. Maximum power Up to 3000W (250V 13A max)
Cons
  • Some little things
