One problem with the cable that is common to all cables is that it breaks where the cable comes out of its bracket. I've had several of these and they all break in the same place. I taped them before use and they break. I had wire in them, I wrapped them in tape and they broke. I took mold plastic and reinforced them and they broke. I have a spare cable because when I'm sleeping I'm not there and if the cable breaks the system fails. The system is great and works great, but the cable isn't worth it and needs to be recycled.
