Put simply, this is the BEST monitor I've ever had! Luckily for me I had an old ViewSonic 27.5 inch that stopped working. My wife didn't want a monitor that big anymore (we have a very small computer desk) so I aimed for 24 inches. Then a dilemma arose: what permission to buy? Since I don't need a high-resolution screen due to the fact that the fonts and everything will likely be too small, I settled on either 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 (yes, I know you can reduce the resolution on higher-resolution screens, but it always gets fuzzy). At first, I went with anything that had high ratings and a price range of around $200. I ended up buying an ASUS screen. Luckily for me the built in speakers didn't work and I had a good reason to return it. I also noticed that the quality wasn't as great as people wrote in the reviews so I didn't want to go back. went back to a TN LED panel and had to increase my price range in the hope that the quality would also increase (which doesn't always have to be the case). I searched for hours again until I decided on this monitor. Now I can say this is the best I've ever had! It's 1920 x 1200, which is a lot better than the previous 1920 x 1080 I ordered as that screen is "more square" and less wide. The colors are just stunning - also compared to the predecessor, but also compared to almost every monitor I've seen! (not my MacBook Pro, which is cool too!) I'm so happy with the quality that I only find excuses to sit next to the computer :-) I also like that the control buttons are "touch". Mentioned that I need built-in speakers as my desk is very small, but since I found out that Dell speakers can be connected to this monitor I decided to use those too: and I'm very glad I did did that. it cost me a lot more than I was initially willing to pay (about $370 including speakers - almost double what I expected), but the quality more than makes up for it. What I also liked (although didn't use it much): tons of video cables (I only use DVI), the base allows for monitor height adjustment and the like, which I didn't have on my previous screens. The only problem is, how does anyone know to buy this monitor? Also with great reviews like mine. because I wouldn't buy it! if I hadn't been burned by the poor screen quality and the feeling that I needed more. And then you look at all the Dell models and they all say Ultrasharp, so it's confusing. Long story short, if you're looking for something like 24-inch 1920 x 1200, I'd say that's what you're looking for.
