Review on ☕️ T-fal C76220 Dishwasher Safe Whistling Coffee and Tea Kettle - Stainless Steel, 3-Quart, Silver by Kimberly Marquez

I bought one of these 3 or 4 years ago and fell in love with it. It felt solid right away, and any knobs or switches felt firm instead of dangling. The steel was of good quality. We live in an area with very hard water so every two weeks the minerals would build up and I had to use vinegar to scrub the deposits off. It was expected. It broke just before Thanksgiving. With repeated use every day, I felt that it worked perfectly, so I bought another one. Some entrepreneurial genius decided to cut costs between my purchases and it shows damn it! The handle and switches are loose. They don't have that high quality latch. The whole thing weighs less and looks like a chicken; I could tell they made the materials cheaper right out of the box. The "steel" on the underside looked duller and more aluminum-colored on the inside than the high-gloss steel of the previous model. He now builds up these mineral deposits in a maximum of 2 days. I had to take one of my green sponges and clean up a small spot of rust that popped up last week. Shame on you, T-Fal! Save your money and try to find a better one. Once that one fails, which I don't think will be for long, I'll look for a better one. I left my review about the company. They offered to hand it over (🙄) - that was all they offered except to ask if I would like to send it to one of their service centers for inspection. The representative was nice but I told her if they don't have a magic wand to fix the quality of the materials it won't fix anything. I think more and more of us should complain and stop buying from these companies that ship everything overseas to make it cheap. Perhaps at some point they will bring quality back to the American consumer.
