Sometimes I don't need my thermal gun/camera and when I don't need it I don't like carrying it around. In such circumstances, a good and reliable temperature gun will do what I need. Of course, there are many temperature guns with different performance, build quality and price. I have two slightly cheaper timer pistols and while they are good too, this one from AIOMEST is clearly an improvement in terms of build quality and materials used. The plastic used is a high quality plastic with a slight "rubber" feel to improve grip and comfort. The display is also larger than a standard pistol, making it much easier to read the details. I really like the dimmed color display. It's a lot easier on the eyes and just a lot nicer to look at. Very nice (Borat). This temporary package contains a "suitcase"/carrying bag. It's not padded or anything like that, but closes with a zipper. I carry the included mini-screwdriver and manual (for emissivity reference for various materials) along with extra batteries in the sleeve of my bag/suitcase. Options, functions and what is displayed on the screen are simple and standard for other temporary weapons on the market. If you have used other temporary pistols, then working with this one will be natural for you, since there is nothing new here. One thing this temporary weapon has compared to others of mine is the LED indicator on the front. I will never turn off the light. It's not bright by any means and shouldn't be used as a flashlight, but when you need light in total darkness it's there. Overall I'm glad I have this temporary weapon from AIOMEST. Since I've had it I've only used my others for reference as they are well calibrated. Comparing the accuracy of this gun to other guns combined with my thermal imager showed it was accurate. Excellent thermal gun, I recommend it to everyone!
