Sharp, balanced and not too heavy. Oh, and it looks great too.
When I first took this cleaver out of the box it was lighter than expected. After using it, I found that this is not a problem. If you work in a butcher shop all day shredding bones it might be a bit too light, but for general kitchen use it works great. Damascus steel and a very nice wooden handle make it a nice addition to my kitchen. Tool. The full shaft, with the blade and shaft in one piece, ensures that the handle will not wobble in the future. Perhaps most importantly, the cleaver is very sharp and holds its edge well.
