You have no idea how bad this product is. The plastic that attaches the cable to the handle is very thin. The back of the handle breaks with the 1st pull of a perfectly functioning hood. exactly as stated in another review. Also, the firewall eyelet is on the back, if it's not closed you'll get wet feet in the rain. complete garbage! Return to what is needed for the replacement. You will need to pull out the battery, air filter assembly, driver's headlight assembly, driver's dashboard lower portion, and driver's console. everything is easy enough. just a pain to find out it's rubbish.
