I thought it was a real miracle meaning I never have to climb stairs or hire anyone again, it's for me. Instead, I kind of went halfway. The sucking part here is AWESOME. It sucks all the dirt and debris out of your gutters with minimal effort, so you never have to dig it out again. The blown part of it is terrible, but it's not really this device's fault. The blowout part is MUCH harder because it's harder to keep your balance with a 6ft bar attached to you. Once you get a little tired of holding the pole it will detach itself. It also won't blow ALL your leaves off and you have to be really patient and big enough to work it around the gutter without detaching it, which is hard to do. I think if you have a really powerful vacuum you can probably blow out fast enough that detaching from time to time isn't a problem as you will be doing it very quickly. You only get about 1-1.5 stories. If you live on top of a hill in a 1 story house, it's REALLY hard towards the end. Also, making it 12 feet tall doesn't seem like the best solution because it's also very heavy and difficult to hold. My advice: take a powerful vacuum cleaner and stand on the roof in a convenient place for you. reach as far as possible and just get on with it. It's still a lot quicker than hanging from a ladder, and you'll probably do a lot better.
