Review on TOOLBAY Socket Men's Stocking Stuffers: Universal Socket Grip Tool in Black by Jeff Bundrick

Good idea but lacks depth

I really wanted this article to work for me. I was excited to get it and try it out because I thought it might be a good general purpose socket that might help reduce some of the other sizes I might have overlooked. After receiving it, however, he faced some problems. The main problem is that the socket itself works with a series of pins on springs. Unfortunately, the springs take up most of the actual socket body. The rosette itself is at a depth of about 0.46 inches or 1.2 cm before touching the ground. To make matters worse, the manufacturer didn't leave a hole in the middle. This means that any bolt or anything it needs can't stick out more than half an inch or so before it hits the ground and can't get to the nut. You can see in the photos that the depth is pretty shallow, ending about where my thumb is on the driver extension. Great idea, just not very good execution.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
