Review on πŸ”’ Proven Industries Lock Model #2516: Secure your RV/Trailer with our 2-5/16" Coupler Lock by Richard Bowens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very reassuring is the security and quality this lock offers.

I searched for a lock for a long time before I decided on this lock 2516 from Proven Industries. I watched all sorts of videos on how to easily defeat inferior castles. In fact, I almost bought one of those low quality locks thinking it was the best of all the locks I've researched. Then I stumbled across another Hitchlock demo video, but it also featured a 2516 from Proven Industries. It arrived within the time frame given to me as promised. I bought it from another site because it's cheaper. As advertised, it's a beast. There's no way an average trailer thief can pick this lock. Yes, I know if someone wants it bad enough, and I mean HARD ENOUGH, they'll haul my trailer with them. But this lock is definitely one that takes a lot of time, effort, and expensive (not to mention) noisy cutting tools to pick. The assembly is very simple and the chains fit easily on the outer jacket. Someone mentioned that they don't trust an aluminum padlock, but let me tell you, it's a very strong piece of aluminum. It will take a lot of strength to pull it out once it snaps into place. This product gives me peace of mind that my trailer is 99.99% safe from thieves. If you can get past my two dogs, by the rather heavy screened strut by the side gate, the lock is 2516. Well, you can take my trailer.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Useless features
