This is a very simple device that does the job but works very well. It adapts a 2" receiver for use with a 1-1/4" rack. This is done without protruding much further from the rear of the receiver, reducing the leverage the post exerts on the receiver. This was important to me as my aftermarket receiver on my Tesla Model 3 is only rated at a few hundred pounds of "tongue weight". I've carried a relatively heavy bike rack with two e-bikes for hundreds of miles with no problem. The rack and bikes were stable and didn't spin or bounce in the receiver. the setup was quiet even on bumpy roads This adapter was just what I needed to make our e-bike vacation a success.
