Works perfectly. The perfect adaptor. High recommendation

Exactly as advertised. Perfect adapter Very well made product There's really nothing more to say about it, except that it's a perfect adapter, very well made and easy to assemble even for beginners.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some issues

Yes it oscillates up and down

This gear works well but has some vertical play. The wobble could be minimized by making the adapter longer and slightly taller, but that would make it suitable for lesser-existing receivers and make installation more difficult. 4") and it's great for that use.

Adapter does not fit snugly in 2 " hitch mount

Very disappointed with this adapter. It doesn't fit snugly in a 2 inch receiver. There is a gap from top to bottom. Side to side is fine. Even after tightening the adapter and my bike rack with thread lock pin, the adapter still moved up and down in the hitch pocket. I do not recommend buying this adapter. Note. Installing a 1.25 inch bike rack into this adapter was successful. It's a hitch adapter that doesn't work.

Steady as she goes.

I recently bought a cheap towbar mounted bike rack. I liked everything in the trunk, except for one significant drawback. The stand is unacceptably unstable and oscillates back and forth in the receiver. I thought of just returning the stand, but with other models that are 3-5 times more expensive I decided to buy this adapter to see if it fits more tightly. Yes, that's right. This product solved most of my instability problems. The remaining vibration is eliminated simply by another attachment

  • Not bad overall but...

It's not tight so it rattles or wiggles and can't be prevented

I understand I only bought one case but it doesn't fit snugly at all so there's an annoying wiggle or rattle. I'd like to return it but as I've already fitted it to test it has now shown a few scratches from when it was new. So I don't want to be the guy who just used something and returns it even if it looks scratched and used. But I will say this. I'm definitely not happy with this because I was looking for an adapter/sleeve that would allow my 1.25" bike rack to fit a 2" receiver. It looked…

Disappointed with the quality but still works

I received this last week to install a bike rack on my truck. After everything was assembled, I took a test drive around town. This is how the adapter came out afterwards. I guess I didn't read the fine print, I thought it was powder coated, it wasn't. Going back to the description, it says "Matte black finish to resist rust and corrosion and also to reduce scratches." I don't think the matte finish will last long. Otherwise it fits nicely in my Tundra receiver and does the job. I would have…

Will not fit my hitch

I bought this as an alternative to attach my Thule bike rack with a 1 1/4" receiver. Pin holes. It stopped about an inch from the hole, to line up the holes. Ironically, it would fit if you turned the adapter so the pin holes were pointing up and down, but now there was no way to attach it to the hitch. There could be a defect where the Holes not drilled properly or a compatibility issue with Reese Hitches I ordered a Curt reducer and it worked great but cost about $10 more I can't tell if it…

  • Nothing here

GREAT ITEM follow my instructions

Great product! Fits surprisingly well in my 2" U-Haul receiver on my pickup, and the 1.25" rod from my Saris bike mount fits snugly. Excellent price. I have assembly instructions to make sure everything goes smoothly: Buy a 1/2" log dowel, saw off a 1.75" piece, slide the adapter onto the 1.25" rod and insert the 1.75 " Dowel into the adapter until it went through. Bar. Then slide everything into the 2" receiver so the dowel lines up with the holes in the 2" receiver. Finally insert the steel…

How to fit a 1-1/4 bike rack into a 2 " hitch mount

This is a very simple device that does the job but works very well. It adapts a 2" receiver for use with a 1-1/4" rack. This is done without protruding much further from the rear of the receiver, reducing the leverage the post exerts on the receiver. This was important to me as my aftermarket receiver on my Tesla Model 3 is only rated at a few hundred pounds of "tongue weight". I've carried a relatively heavy bike rack with two e-bikes for hundreds of miles with no problem. The rack and bikes…
