Review on Vollrath 59500P Mirage Pro Induction Range Cooker: 120V, 1800W, NSF Certified by Bryan King

I have purchased two Mirage Pro units and when they work they work fine. However, I had problems with both. The main dial (which you use to set the power level and timer) on the first device is unreliable: you can't adjust the power level or the timer smoothly and infinitely - the number jumps randomly as you turn the knob. I was willing to ignore this quirk because in every other respect the device worked well. After buying a second device and realizing that he also had an issue, real problems began that took a little more time than Revain couldn't take the device back. So I wrote to Vollrath and described my problem; I wanted to exchange the second unit for a replacement unit but was told that the warranty does not cover home use and that this unit is for commercial use. This is in the user manual, but you must read carefully and in detail to find this provision. The reason I bought these devices was because they were well made (but made in China) and looked very reliable. So I am very dissatisfied and have this warning: do not buy this machine for home use. The guarantee is worth nothing.
