
Build quality looks good but the read speed is terrible - some other reviewers have mentioned that the Bluray disc ripping speed is terrible, I can confirm the same. Same machine, same software, this drive delivers 14 frames per second; while other internal BD drive + USB 3.0 enclosure configurations can run at 70 fps. Some might say that the firmware might be designed to prevent Blu-ray ripping by slowing it down, but the normal data disc reading speed isn't that good either.
