I used it to install 120 TV wall mounts in a college dorm. That made the job very easy. We arranged with the contractor to have a wooden backing board fitted to the location of the TV so we could easily line up and screw in the brackets without having to figure out where the studs would be. Using a drilling template and this laser level, we were able to install 1 TV mount every 5 minutes. The Bad: The tripod only lifts 4 feet, maybe a little more. Well, the simple solution would be to buy another tripod, right? NO! It uses proprietary threads instead of the default threads that cameras use. So I took a professional tripod with a very large head to easily mount the laser on it. Very disappointed they went this route. Other thoughts: If the room is very bright, turn on the goggles, which turn everything red but bounce the laser beam off the wall. It's a great device, just a little disappointed that they made the tripod so short and the fact that you can't just use another one.
