Review on 🍏 Norpro Apple Mate 3-in-1 Apple, Potato, Peeler, Slicer & Corer by Megan Washington

I would say this is the best household peeler for the kitchen

This year I used one of these to bake over 200 cakes for my son's small business. I would say this is the best meat grinder for home cooking. Trust me, I've bought probably 8 peelers over the last few years. They wear out, but think how many apples we peel. At the end of that season we had to take pieces from two other cleaners to get one to work. (We're at the point where we need to buy an off-the-shelf vegetable peeler.) The first thing we break is the pole that attaches the device to our extendable cutting board. We learned how hard it is to walk. The second thing that breaks is the pins that hold the apples, but it can only be used with two pins. The screw in the red handle must be constantly tightened, otherwise it will fall off. I also sharpen the blade with a round blade knife sharpener. It fits the blade perfectly. These peelers don't work well with soft apples or apples that have been stored for a while. I would suggest using it on apples freshly picked from the orchard, not grocery store apples unless you know they are local and freshly picked. We grow Zestar which is an early apple and is crunchy when first picked and softens after a few weeks so the peeler works well at first and then becomes iffy. It works great on a freshly picked apple. I've used it for Honeycrisp, Harlason, SweeTango, Cortland, Snowsweet, Fireside, etc. I would recommend it for any home kitchen. Honestly this is the best budget cleaner and when used like I mentioned it is great!
