Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 275/50 R20 113 year old by Michal Dobiasz ᠌

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

Tires are premium sharpened for handling (and not for comfort), which is at the highest level here. When you put them on, the first thing you notice is that they lift the entire fraction off the road, especially at first, pebbles knock on the arches - after a few thousand km, this effect subsides, which is due to the softness of the tire (the treadwear index is only 280 or the fact that shod them in cold weather +6) I can’t say, but after a few thousand (or how warmed up the effect became not so pronounced). They are also sensitive to the road surface (every joint is felt and there is a rumble from coarse-grained asphalt, but it depends on the pumping - if you blow it off literally by 0.2 atmospheres, it goes away - as an option, you can blow off only the front axle). And half the problem is solved. But everything pales against the background of absolutely precise and precise control and grip. The car rulitsya almost standard and subjectively add auto sportiness, the clutch is such that on a 2-liter chip focus when starting from a standstill with 2 pedals there is not even a squeak. And in general, the tire slipped only 1 time (in snow and rain) at the start, since I shod them early. Very clearly and predictably they slow down on wet pavement with a margin, while maintaining control. For the sake of this, everything was apparently designed, the control is so sharp that comfort has faded into the background, it’s not ice to drive on tiles. Would you recommend these tires for purchase? If the main thing for you is handling and dynamism with an emphasis on sports, definitely. If there is no comfort, I think some kind of Bridgestone Turanze T005 is better suited, you will not notice small joints. This tire is soft - it has a soft sidewall, which is why, with a high profile, the tire at 2 atmospheres looks lowered. I can’t say how strong it is, since there was only 1 collision with a curb, but there was no trace left. Comfort issues can be resolved by lowering the tires, but then there will be no sharp handling. Alternatively, you can only lower the front to make it easier to drive through the joints. Tires hold pressure very well - you don’t have to pump up the word at all.

Pros
  • Top, close to the standard, handling on dry surfaces, very short braking distances on wet. Road feedback and steering response. Perfectly hold the pump. A quick start from a place.
Cons
  • Comfort (as the passage of irregularities and acoustic, including throwing stones into the arches). Important: tires are sensitive to temperature - at +7 oak, from +20 is another matter. Therefore, wearing them early can cause damage to the suspension.
