Review on πŸ”₯ Ultimate NovaMaker ABS Filament 1: The Perfect Additive Manufacturing Solution by Phillip Jaylon

turns out great but needed drying

So I was totally blown away by other reviews showing photos of their prints after acetone. I had the idea that I would like to make a bowl of yarn out of it as a gift and I can say that it ended up being perfect. However. When I first received the filament it printed pretty poorly. Came in a plastic bag but no vacuum packaging. The first print was quite bubbly and rough. I almost sent it back, but I *really* wanted it to work. I already had a dehydrator so I stuck it in for 4.5 hours at 150F. It helped a lot and all the prints I've made since then (a few large ones) have turned out great. In the photo Benchy before drying out (left) and after (right). The yarn bowl turned out beautifully, after the acetone bath it looks like liquid silver. The first 2 photos show it after acetone, the third photo before. Aside from the humidity, I haven't had any problems with it. No blockages, deformations or anything else. I think it was worth it in the end and I'll probably buy more, but due to the excessive moisture and effort I had to put into using it, I can't justify giving it more than 3 stars. If you're willing to dry it out, you'll end up with a 5-star score.
