Had it in my 2003 F-150 4x4 5.4L Triton now and works great. I had to remove the fuel tank, install it, and it's been a few months and it's working great. The device is not "loud", does not "hum" and does not sound like it is working too much. When the whole process was complete I couldn't move the truck body or lift it off the top due to the body bolts binding, so I just climbed under the truck, removed the oil pan, tank hoses, disconnected the lines and lowered the tank with my shoplifter. for 2 stacks of 2x4's and you didn't even have to use more than a few tools/sockets. Take your time, make sure you get the book, and double check everything, especially when assembling, and forget something after everything clicks into place. I didn't need a new tank gasket either. On the wires, I cut off the ends of the factory pump and crimped the standard plug/socket and sealed everything with a flash, so now they are closed and will not "touch”. I chose a similar mesh screen shape, almost all the functions are the same, it just needs to place the pump in each position at the bottom of the tanks for each vehicle.
