Review on EWK 6L Vacuum Oil Extractor Pump: Efficient and Convenient Fluid Extractor for Automotive and Marine Oil Changes by Isaac Logan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The piston does not stay in place during evacuation.

To inflate the vacuum flask, you have to hold it or it will break. Annoying design. But the suction hose is good. The first time I siphoned off the power steering oil and it worked. THERE IS NO VALVE you can use to suck the air out of the bullet, so you'll either have to submerge the tube or do what I did, squeeze the tygon tube with pliers. You can then pump it out before installing the tubing. The small cap strap broke on first use. Uncomfortable, but I'll come up with something for that. The pump handle was difficult to attach to the pump, but after a few tries it worked fine. It is similar to the Beta+ stage, but fits mowers, small vacuums, etc. The box is too small to store. Why do they want to rate "thickness" and "transparency"? That's some nonsense.
