Excellent door stop signals. Simply insert a 9V battery (not included) into each and flip the switch to hear the high-pitched beep. They have an on/off switch so you can place the tip under the door and turn it on. They are placed under the bottom of your door and when the door opens, pressure on the metal ends sets off an alarm. In addition, it acts as a doorstop and provides resistance to the door being opened. It is noisy and can be heard from the outside garage door to our second floor bedroom.
