Cooling air intake worked fine for me on a heavily modified 2017 Tundra. With a 6-inch lift and a 35-inch motor, there's a lot of rollover. Also, I drive a mob tune and I have a bumper and a winch, so a hundred pounds or more of extra weight on the front of the truck. Gasoline mileage increased from 12.8 to 13.2mpg (mostly on single-town freeways). The intake also allows the engine to maintain rpm more easily (I see less bouncing when showing mpg). It finally sounds great and the throttle response is noticeably improved.
