My son bought me the barn door kit for my birthday. Originally we had purchased a different set (June 29 ASIN B086637KKM). These were for my pantry and I thought that the bypass sliding barn doors would be perfect. I went to Menards and bought a set of unfinished barn doors. I spent a few days painting them (a few days because I wanted them two tone). Then it was the exciting time of install.First, the instructions are basically garbage, and I am very good with minor instruction but this was really bad. The first time I got everything put together and the doors rubbed on the floor. Ok, my fault, I didn't measure properly and the rail was too low. BTW, the instructions are horrible at telling you a height for the rail or where to mount the wheels. Finally got everything put back together and hung the doors only to find that when the doors are fully closed there is a gap on both sides. UGHI messaged the company with photos to let them know and asked if they could just allow me to purchase an additional rail and straight wheels to correct the problem. They responded with links to each individual item I could purchase to fix my issue. The cost was almost $200 (more than double what I paid to begin with).I ended up finding that I could just purchase the non overlapping bypass kit (this one here on the review) for much less than purchasing each individual item. I really liked my large carriage wheels so I also bought a set of straight carriage wheels. Get everything disassembled and start to reassemble.one of the screws that holds the rail into the wall broke. The head broke right off. They don't tell you to predrill but, trust me, predrill. Then one of the spacers was missing. Ok, I can at least get everything put together and add that spacer after I get it.I finally go to hang the doors and my carriage style wheels don't fit. The top of the wheel hits the bypass bracket. You can't lower the wheel because there won't be enough room for it to fit on the track and I can't raise the bypass bracket because then the rails will be uneven. I am now in process of filling the holes in my wooden barn doors that once mounted my carriage wheels so that I can install the rhombic wheels that will fit within the bypass bracket. This has been a HORRIBLE experience! The company does not care about any of this. All together I have spent $215 with this company (not including the cost of the doors themselves). It has been 2 months attempting to install barn doors on my pantry.I honestly, whole heartedly, believe that this whole thing could have been avoided with clear and concise instructions.
