Review on Hitachi TPS0006 Throttle Position Sensor by Eugene Cox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It feels like I'm in a different SUV!

Thought we were considering a thorough transmission overhaul as the Batmobile had some erratic downshifts as well as harsh or abnormal upshifts to the point where it sometimes felt like it was slipping. Erratic downshifts on the freeway were driving me insane. Another symptom was erratic idle and poor throttle response. This went on for several months and got progressively worse. The only 2 trouble codes the ECM gave were for the knock sensor and the oxygen sensor, that's all. From the moment I started riding after replacing the TPS (this TPS is on this QX4 1999.5 from the factory in Japan, by the way), all the above problems have disappeared. Everyone from! Wow! If you're experiencing any of these symptoms on your QX4/Pathfinder, don't overlook the possibility that it could be your TPS. But when you need to replace it, settle for nothing less than the Hitachi TPS. I'm worth a few euros more. Signature. Trina's husband.

Pros
