Review on 🔪 GATCO GTC10005 Hunting Camping Kitchen Sharpeners by Matthew Aiono

Gatco 5 piece sharpener I have had for many years. (maybe 20?). I liked the system setup and it did a great job of sharpening. My only complaint was that the plastic used to hold the rod has become brittle over the years and some of them have broken so they can't hold the right angle for sharpening. Instead of buying a replacement honing tool I decided to order a new 5 piece set (#10005). Unfortunately, as some have noted, one of the honing stones in the new set came loose and was dangling in the case. I went to the manufacturer's website and sent an email asking for either a new Ultra Course honing tool or glue to fix it. myself. Answered for hours. They offered to send me a new sharpening tool, but also mentioned that they use original brown gorilla glue. I decided to buy Gorilla Glue and fix it myself so I can fix them if the others come loose. Hope the glue holds up well. I think I used more glue than they did. I like the system so much I didn't want to send it back, plus I have backup tools from my old kit. I still think the sharpening set is worth the price despite the adhesive problem, because other sets with several sharpening stones that can be sharpened at different angles usually cost significantly more.
