I read about Swedish dish towels in an online news show and suggested that it's a good way to save on paper towels. I love paper towels because sponges are just gross, but I feel guilty about the environment for experiencing so many of them. Tea towels are made of an organic material that absorbs moisture well, but dries out almost completely after wringing. Dirt and debris washes off easily and they don't smell, but when they get uncomfortable I just toss them in the wash. Now I keep a stack under the paper towel holder and use them all the time. The ROI will take some time, but it's worth it!
