NOT OEM but works.

available As another 1 star reviewer pointed out, this is NOT an OEM part. There is no OEM part number stamped anywhere on the body and the only identification is "OXGORD" (with a stylistic "X") in raised lettering within the portion above the fuel filler hole. I found the part to fit. The hole in the side panel is fine, the four retaining clips fit very well and the 3 screw holes match up. As noted by the 1-star reviewer, the right side appears slightly higher than the left, leaving a very small (1/16 inch) raised edge of the fuel door when closed. Imperceptible unless you're really looking for it, but once you know it's there it's a little annoying. Worst of all, the painted door panel (which you'll be removing from the original fuel filler flap) is barely held in place by the slide/snap slots on the back. Your original fuel tank cover. If you pull the flap out of the way after installation, a moderate tug will pull your fuel filler flap out. I fixed this by heating and pinching the tab on the front of the replacement molding to expand it a bit and do more shopping on the door cover itself. The only positive thing about this part compared to the OEM version is that the manufacturer used a hot knife etc to melt and expand the bottom of the pivot to keep the top from popping out and loosening. to prevent your door from rebounding (the reason most people here want to buy this part). There are videos online with several alternatives, from using a screw and washer or glue to hold the part together so it doesn't happen again. The question is, why buy it here for the same price as an OEM part (over three Lincolns) when it's 44% cheaper and comes with free shipping in the Gulf? NOTE: For some of you who feel like you were scammed into purchasing a non-OEM part, here's how it happened: You searched for an OEM part number. You have been redirected to an OEM part. You clicked the "Other Sellers" link to check alternative prices from other sellers. You saw a price that seemed better and clicked "Add to Cart" (directly) and didn't realize that the product description had changed to reflect the part you ordered, the specs were no longer showing as it should have been an OEM part and indeed they have changed. To reflect this, it was actually part of the "OXGORD" aftermarket. In other words, the seller has mistakenly (and intentionally?) placed their product under the OEM parts listings, but you won't find out about it unless you go back and forth to the product's home page (by clicking on an item in your click shopping cart). to return to the main page of the article). for your information. Lesson learned.
