Review on Precision Router System Kreg PRS1045 by Mike Walters

My fence came with two boxes of hardware that contained the same parts. I was missing the fence clip and mounting plate and associated parts. Someone fell asleep while packing the product. I contacted Craig about this. After waiting too long and calling, someone came back to me and sent the package. I asked if they knew what I needed and didn't really get an answer, although I detailed what I was getting. I didn't want to end up not getting everything I needed. Well, a few days later I received a package with almost everything I needed. You didn't send the critical part. Pooh. It took several days and several attempts to get Craig back on the phone. As soon as I did that they took care of it (haven't received it yet but I have no doubt it's on the way). Feedback for Kreg CS. A little care the first time would have avoided repeating this exercise twice. This was easy to avoid. To their credit, once they responded, Kreg's customer service was very helpful and responsive. They always took a while to get their attention, but with a little patience, they managed. The product itself makes a well-made and durable impression. It pairs well with the Kreg Professional Router tabletop. Overall 5 stars, but only. Loosen them up a bit due to a packaging error (it happens) and drop the ball during a CS opportunity. They recovered without anyone getting hurt and I think it's a decent product. I had some issues with the Kreg packaging. In general I like the products and the CS seems good but the packaging is spotty. UPDATE: I got the missing part, a rail that attaches to the table that the locking block slides on. He was damaged. Very disappointing. Even though it wasn't properly packaged, it was obvious before it was even packed in the box that it was damaged. There was nothing in the packaging that could cause harm. The aluminum had split several centimeters in two places along the bottom edge and was very rough. I wondered if it was a factory second pulled from somewhere. I decided this wouldn't affect functionality and proceeded with the installation. To be honest I completed a project that took several weeks and should have taken 1-2 hours. I've been able to make my own router table a few times now. I'll leave the rating of the product as it is, although I should actually deduct a star. Kreg: I really hope someone at your company who cares is reading this: While CS was responsive and helpful when you caught their attention, packaging has been an issue with each of the last four Kreg products purchased. Each had annoying flaws in design, manufacture, or attention to detail, all of which were easily remedied. I carefully consider most purchases, and based on the experience of the past few months, he'll be extra vigilant about Kreg offerings from now on.
