Review on πŸ”‡ Stop Excessive Barking with the Sportdog Nobark SBC-R Rechargeable Bark Control Collar by Natalie Martin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to use, attention grabbing when set up correctly

My 11 month old puppy started barking LOTS at two things: squirrels and my other dog when he wanted to play. So bad that the neighbor yelled at both of us. Had to go for this SportDog model as I have had really good experiences with the remote training (shock) collar. It was very easy to put on and I haven't had to charge it for several hours a day, every day for several weeks. The battery level indicator still shows that it is full. I have never changed the mode from the default mode which starts at level 1 on the second bark. When he forgets he's on it, barks for the second time in 30 seconds, it really gets his attention and he screams. You won't hear a sound from him while he's chasing squirrels outside. Every time I hear a second bark in a short space of time, I realize I haven't snuggled up to him enough or he's moved out of his voice box. It also seems to bark less generally. Mind you, I don't want him to shut up entirely because I appreciate my dogs barking at strangers in the driveway. It seems a bit pricey so I gave it 4 starts but knowing SD hardware I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone.
