It seems like I'm always working out for something and I'm making protein shakes all the time. I have 2 different brands as they are easy to find at my local grocery store and chocolate is my favorite flavor as I sometimes use it in baking as well. Overall blends well in water, almond milk and milk when using a blender bottle or my ninja when making a smoothie. It tends to clump together if you try and just mix with a spoon. It tastes okay, 3.5 stars. The chocolate taste is on a good level, not overpowering but there. The other brands I use are sweetened with sucrose and use stevia. When I was just mixing the protein power in liquid, the stevia had an aftertaste that I could definitely hear and I didn't like it that much. However, I've also used it in smoothies with powdered peanut butter and a banana and then I didn't really notice any aftertaste. I like that there is 26g of protein per scoop with only 120 calories. I'm always trying to pack more protein into my diet, and since I'm currently counting calories, it's not such a big hit with my daily calorie budget. I don't think I would use this as a meal replacement due to the lower calorie count. It also doesn't seem to bulk up as much as some of my other protein powders, so I didn't necessarily feel full after drinking it. Better pre-workout than recovery for this reason. The container size is almost 15 oz, which is about half the size of other protein powder supplements I usually buy and comes in at 30 oz for about the same price. The manufacturer says this is fat free, lactose free, gluten free, aspartame free, soy free, corn free and also a non-GMO formula, the other products I use make none of these claims and therefore the higher price may be justified.
