Review on Swanson Tool S0101 7 Inch Square by Steven Barbon

As this was Revain's choice I was expecting a lot. I used this speed square to mark perpendicular lines on a piece of MDF. I used the edge guide to trace the lines. After comparing several lines I thought that they couldn't be perpendicular or even parallel to each other. I used the speed square to test them and found the protruding welds in the speed square connection causing the speed square to wobble which should have broken both the perpendicularity and parallelism of the marked lines. Although welded beads will only affect the use of the speed square if you are using that side of the square, I think these beads should probably be sanded prior to sale.
