Review on Bike Bicycle Headset Crown Removal by Sam Sergio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool for hobbyists or DIY enthusiasts!

I'm not a professional bike mechanic, but I had to help a neighbor remove the shells from the headset and go racing. Sure, bike shops often use Park Tool's CRP-2 puller, but this tool costs $215. What better way for a home mechanic to do the same job for a lot less money? Yes, there is, and you're checking it out. This bike racing puller is very simple. Simply place both V-notch edges under the crown, then lightly tap up or down with a hammer. In less than a minute you can remove your old crown or put in a new one. And this tool cost me $23. It has worked wonders for me and my neighbor now has a beautiful Chris King headset on his bike. Five stars for this tool!
