This item was therefore sold in used - like new condition. What I'm saying is that if it had been properly repackaged it would indeed be as good as new. Basically everything was just thrown in a box to rattle, get dirty, get scratched etc. Now that said I'm hanging this on the basement door to keep the kids away from things I'm not supposed to reach. So my visual aesthetic expectations are low. Installation was easy as I have replaced many door locks over the years, however only instructions in Spanish were supplied. Luckily, a quick Google search gave me the installation instructions. Overall I would say it took me about 20 minutes to install and program which is definitely a strong lock. The keyboard feels good under your fingers, keyboard responses are solid. The device works as expected so I'm very happy with it, just wish it wasn't as hackneyed as it was but that's a risk you take.
