Property managers have 3 different options for locking modes that can fit different applications including auto lock code or key required for entry each time, passage deadbolt stays unlocked, and disable passage mode; Auto locks every time and a key or user code is required for entry. Disappointing Performance from Electronic Lock

As a hesitant buyer in Tools and Home Improvement category, I purchased this electronic alternative for my doors. As a result of my tests, I determined that the lock frequently malfunctioned and required repeated attempts to lock and unlock. The one positive aspect is the sleek design; however, the disappointing locking mechanism ultimately outweighs the aesthetic value.

Easy installation and good quality.

This item was therefore sold in used - like new condition. What I'm saying is that if it had been properly repackaged it would indeed be as good as new. Basically everything was just thrown in a box to rattle, get dirty, get scratched etc. Now that said I'm hanging this on the basement door to keep the kids away from things I'm not supposed to reach. Used for Pantry Door

I was looking for a similar kwikset unit for the lockable pantry door handle on the back of my townhouse. I have other Kwikset electronic locks on other doors where I have replaced the deadbolts to use the code. This handle block complements the locks on my front and back doors, each of which I can set the same or unique codes for. All can handle up to 30 unique codes, which is more than enough for my needs.
