Great scope for beginners. I'm new and was able to set it up. polar orientation. And understand what to do just by following the instructions. The two included eyecups are of excellent quality and ideal for lunar and planetary observing. I'm in a heavily polluted area and I was able to do just that. Light enough to get out of the car and go somewhere darker. Not designed for backpacking. The mount is a little flimsy, but if it only has this scope it's perfect. Overall a great option for the money.
