Great scope for beginners

Great scope for beginners. I'm new and was able to set it up. polar orientation. And understand what to do just by following the instructions. The two included eyecups are of excellent quality and ideal for lunar and planetary observing. I'm in a heavily polluted area and I was able to do just that. Light enough to get out of the car and go somewhere darker. Not designed for backpacking. The mount is a little flimsy, but if it only has this scope it's perfect. Overall a great option for the…

Stability problems, otherwise large volume

My first telescope. Bought in a set with a clip for a mobile phone. Lots of room for the money. The picture I took doesn't match the actual naked eye pictures, the craters were so sharp. It is unrealistic to see such a moon with your own eyes. My ONLY issue I had was that it shook if you even looked at it the wrong way. I had to set a 10 second timer on my phone because as soon as I pressed the capture button it sent a shockwave through the scope that shook it really hard, but once the timer…

It would be nice if you just take a look.

When this telescope came in the mail it was a lot bigger than I expected, the tripod is very good after I figured it out and here's the only part that really counts, pretty good view me checked out this pair that rolls from opening the box to looking at the moon from the surface of the moon in less than 30 minutes, still hasn't been noticed by the rovers who stayed there because they found out so much about it that they thought we didn't have. It's right to ride something right on the moon. I…

Good telescope for beginning astronomers

Bought this for my kids. This is a quality telescope for beginners. We managed to get a good picture of Jupiter and its 4 largest moons. The waxing crescent looked beautiful. We also got a good picture of Venus. Saturn has not been tried yet, it is only visible early in the morning when we sleep. We'll try later this spring and I'll post an update. On the other hand, the star finder is difficult to use. The calibration between telescope and star finder doesn't seem to work and I don't know how…

Just in time for Saturn

I bought my daughter a pair of large binoculars thinking it would be easier for lunar viewing and was glad I could see Jupiter's moons. But not very useful for many other things, and Saturn's rings were not visible with binoculars. As soon as I saw the price of 70 eq I decided to take a risk and buy. I'm not dissatisfied. The images of Saturn above are close to the visual quality you will see. (It was foggy here, so that might be the limiting factor). However, it won't be that big…

Very good first telescope

Fantastic purchase as a first telescope for amateur astronomers. This is my first telescope and I've only had it for about a week, but I've taken it out about 5 times (every clear night and every morning) and have been very happy with its performance. Like any other telescope, it takes a bit of getting used to, but overall easy to use. The star pointer is good, but it can easily be thrown out of alignment, but it gets the job done even if it's not the best. the Orion Nebula is a pretty gray…

Great first scope, be sure to use an equatorial mount

I wanted to try my hand at garden astronomy after being bitten by a bug with Nikon 8x42 binoculars. Binoculars are still needed, but they are too shaky and too weak for planetary observation. So I studied telescopes and decided on a refractor since I have young children and little time to mess with collimation. My budget was low to keep my wife happy. The 70EQ stood out compared to the Powerseeker models with the stronger CG-2 equatorial mount and tripod, as well as much smarter and better…

Good equatorial telescope for beginners

I bought this telescope to use with my 9 year old son. I knew the EQ setup was going to be a bit tricky to set up, but figured he could easily work with it once I got it right and showed him. Overall we were very impressed. along this route. This is a fairly small telescope by astronomical standards, although non-astronomers would find it quite large and intimidating. That worked well for us. We live in the country, so we tend to have dark skies. Obviously, the moon is stunning through the…

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I bought a telescope for a child, the budget was small up to 10 thousand. I consulted in an online store and ordered this model. I wouldn't call it a toy. Stable, reliable steel tripod, not flimsy. Weighs only 5 kg, you can safely rearrange where convenient. What I liked the most was the contrast of the picture, to be honest, we did not expect such an image quality for such money. For beginners, a very good option, I advise you to take a closer look.

Pros
  • A cool telescope for beginners who like to watch the sky. It transmits the image well, the moon is visible perfectly (craters, mountains), other planets are also visible (Saturn's ring for example), but not as good as the moon and ground objects. You can take photos, but we have not tried it yet, as we bought it quite recently. Quality accessories included. There were no problems during assembly.
Cons
  • Not seen
