Review on Enhance Your Indoor Comfort with the La Crosse Technology Comfort Level Station (Black) by Josh Cox

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Trust the temperature, don't trust the humidity

I bought a La Crosse Technology indoor digital thermometer and hygrometer, an Acu-Rite indoor humidity monitor, and a 9.125 inch Springfield vertical hygrometer. They are all standing together on my table at this point. La Crosse reads 76.3 F, Acu-Rite reads 77 F, Springfield just over 76 F. This confirms several weeks of experience with these items showing the same or identical temperatures, giving me some confidence in theirs Accuracy. The moisture reading for Lacrosse is 27%, Acu-Rite is 22%, and Springfield is about 37%. This is also consistent with previous experience with La Crosse and Acu-rite, which remained at around 40% in the 1920's and Springfield. I give La Crosse four stars because the temperature is easy to read. I give the Acu-Rite three stars because the humidity, which I don't trust, shows more than the temperature and the screen is usually cluttered. However, it shows low and high temperatures and humidity levels over a 24-hour period, so those who find this information interesting will rate it higher. I also give the Springfield three stars - humidity is unreliable and temp a little hard to read, but it shows the same reliable temp as the other two for a very low price.
