Easy to install and effective when installed correctly!

My garage entrance slopes slightly towards the garage door, but the concrete where the door closes is flat. The garage is in the west end of my house where most storms blow. Every time it rains, water runs under the door seal. We had 12.5 inches of rain last week so I had to open the doors and sweep the water every day. My house is 25 years old so there was a slight build up of limescale where the garage doors close on the concrete. 3" scraper and then a spoked wheel on a 4" DeWalt sander to clean the entire door seal area. I then used mineral spirits to wipe down the surface. There is no point attempting this installation without having a clean surface for the adhesive to adhere to. I then cut the gasket to a length of 109 1/2" for my door. I applied the seal and closed the door so that it barely touched the seal. This allows the gasket to be moved in position. You can then click on any Draw a pencil line on the side of the print. After marking the seal, roll the seal back into the garage upside down next to the inner marked line. After applying the adhesive you can roll the seal back over it. I used Gorilla 8008002 Ultimate Construction Adhesive White used to apply the sealer I used 1 tube per sealer The sealer has deep grooves on the back and you need to use enough glue to get it into the grooves After I rolled the sealer onto the glue used I 1 foot to press the gasket the full length. As you do this you will hear a few pops indicating the adhesive has broken becomes flat and air is pushed out. When you're done, make sure the gasket aligns with the pencil marks by working with your fingers or a 1" diameter flat roller from the center to the outside edge of the gasket and applying pressure to squeeze out the adhesive. After 24 hours of curing, you can use a utility knife to cut off the excess adhesive along the door seal and remove it with a scraper 1.5 hours per door. After installation the next day we had 1.5 inches of rain and NO water came through the seal!
