I am using this drive with Win 98SE on a Compaq Presario laptop. I chose this drive because of the USB connection. I got it very cheap and was only impressed with it and the Adaptec software that came with it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. If you read the box it says it's not compatible with Windows ME and will be compatible with Windows 95 if you have a USB port and that port comes with drivers. An earlier version of Win 95 did not support USB, later it did. Check your stuff. This is awesome and looks cool. A++++
