During the inclement seasons, the roads can be quite damaging to your car. In the winter months, road salt can start to eat away at your paintwork. After installation, start the car (accelerate hard) to make sure everything is in place. If anything rattles or squeaks, go to each spot where you interfered and make sure you tightened and installed everything properly. Otherwise there is not much to say. You are protection. For those who are so concerned about potential range loss, driving more efficiently will save you more battery life than the losses they can cause. I'm guessing they will decrease range by 1-2% at most, but I'm no expert on design efficiency.
