During the inclement seasons, the roads can be quite damaging to your car. In the winter months, road salt can start to eat away at your paintwork. When it rains, puddles everywhere can cause rocks to be scattered. Unfortunately, the Model 3's design allows the tires to throw dirt and rocks onto the rockers. People living in non-arid climates (everywhere except where the Tesla factory is located) get a lot of rock chips in this area. want to protect it. This is a great way to minimize the amount of rocks the car is pressing against the paint on the rocker panels. This won't stop everything, but it will stop more rocks from hitting your car. Installation is easy. Follow the instructions and screw it in. If you don't have hands, this isn't for you. It takes about an hour to properly install all 4 on your car and make sure they are secure. After installation, start the car (accelerate hard) to make sure everything is in place. If anything rattles or squeaks, go to each spot where you interfered and make sure you tightened and installed everything properly. Otherwise there is not much to say. You are protection. For those who are so concerned about potential range loss, driving more efficiently will save you more battery life than the losses they can cause. I'm guessing they will decrease range by 1-2% at most, but I'm no expert on design efficiency.
